Talking about the increase in the number of accidents happening on the road is alarming keeping in mind that every day there is significant growth in the number of vehicles on the road as well. Road safety is one of the most severe problems we face in our country considering the statistics and the traffic conditions.
Road safety is about spreading awareness amongst citizens of the country on how to be safe and keep everyone around safe while driving or crossing the road. The Northwalk is a big advocate of spreading road safety awareness since incidents and deaths due to road accidents have a terrible impact on individuals and families.
The Northwalk is all about awareness of security measures and safe methods aimed to reduce the risks of people getting involved in any sort of road accident that may cause injury, property damage, or death even. This is why The Northwalk has arranged an event on 20th November 2022, that centres on road safety awareness.
The World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims
Each year the third Sunday of November, the world observes the world day of remembrance for road traffic victims. The day serves the purpose to remember millions of people injured and dead in road traffic accidents-honoring them, their families, friends, and communities.
It is a day to remind the communities, the governments, and the individual citizens of the society about their responsibilities to make the road safer. The Northwalk stands by the road safety rules and regulations and urges society to follow through toward safer roads.
Since the day pays tribute to the affected, the dedicated emergency responders, traffic police, and medical professionals who deal with the consequences and aftermaths of road deaths and injuries Northwalk organized a road safety awareness event on the 20th of November- the third Sunday of the month to pay respect and to share awareness so no one has to go through such mishaps and tragedies.
